Red Bull Fashion Factory

Featuring designers such as Vivienne Westwood Red Label and PPQ, the Red Bull Fashion Factory will be marking the launch of this year's London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week this year will see the launch of the Red Bull Fashion Factory in a purpose-built space to exhibit established designers such as Vivienne Westwood and PPQ collections beside rising talent such as Felder Felder and Hannah Marshall, providing a creative platform for modern creativity. Hosted by Red Bull and My Beautiful City, the project is raising the benchmark in design by encouraging creative developments in British Fashion.

The Old Sorting Office in High Holborn will be converted into a one-off unique high-tech showroom and interactive gallery titled 'The Hub' to host a series of events from Q&A sessions with the featured designers to live runway feeds and film screenings by One.Dot.Zero in addition to a film by Matt Irwin. Also exhibited will be live art installations including the collection of masks as crafted by commissioned designers featured in the upcoming Dazed & Confused Magazine, whilst Blue Logan will be illustrating the three days worth of events alongside 25 years of Fashion Show footage which covers the early careers of John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan to name a few. Spanning all sides of creative fields, 'The Hub' will also be showing photography by Rankin for PPQ's collaboration with Adidas Originals.

Kicking off the series of events, Hannah Marshall will be showing her debut collection this London Fashion Week at the first ever Red Bull Fashion Factory in celebration of the 25th London Fashion Week on Saturday 19th September, the same day as PPQ. Hannah Marshall having a modern take on luxurious yet innovative designs has been tipped as one to watch whilst PPQ’s Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker commented on their involvement: “Red Bull Fashion Factory is one of the most exciting events to come out of London since the start of London Fashion Week 25 years ago. We’re really excited to be onboard as the event has a really similar feel to PPQ; a creative melting pot of inspirational minds.”

Another ideal candidate for the Red Bull Fashion Factory, one of the world's most influential designers, Vivienne Westwood who has been designing for nearly 40 years is exhibiting on Sunday the 20th, leading onto the Vivienne Westwood S/S 10 show after-party in association with Dazed & Confused. Whilst later on in the week, sisters Daniela and Annette Felder bring us their unique collection as design duo Felder Felder, having established a cult following. Whilst in addition to the more widely known designers, Red Bull Fashion Factory will also be hosting Graduate Shows to offer a platform to the hand-selected graduates expected to be some of the most exciting designers of 2009.

The Hub, High Holborn, from September 19th to the 21st.
