In celebration of London Fashion Week, limited edition Burberry trench coats made exclusively in Liberty will be released in black for men and a deep purple for women, whilst are all lined with the black and purple Burberry iconic check.

The trench coat, first designed by Burberry founder Thomas Burberry for British officers remains the natural starting point for all Burberry collections and is re-interpreted seasonally to reflect the mood and direction of the moment whilst retaining the integrity of its design and function. Representing the standard for quality, style, innovation and craftsmanship in outerwear, Burberry's fame is anchored by its trench coats and history of over 153 years of craftsmanship and fabric development with a unique British sensibility.

The trench coats will be detailed with Burberry’s rich portfolio of signature icons such as their metal “D” rings, leather belt buckles, and epaulettes, whilst each trench coat contains an individually numbered tag (1 to 25) created by Burberry Creative Director, Christopher Bailey.

The limited edition Burberry trench coat for Liberty will be priced at £650 and is available exclusively at Liberty from the 18th of September 2009 to coincide with the launch of London Fashion Week.
