The Slumflower is making her fashion debut in new collective

The Dazed 100 activist is part of a six-strong collective behind new label Collusion

Last week, ASOS announced it would be launching a new, gender-fluid label this October. Initially, few details about what that would entail were released – all that was known was that an anonymous collective would be behind the designs. 

Now, the six creatives behind the label have been announced. The newly-revealed team includes conceptual artist Rene Matić, vlogger Spencer Elmer, body positivity advocate and actress Grace Mandeville, fashion blogger, stylist and photographer Jebi Signature and multi-disciplinary creative Clarissa Henry (founder of the brand Girls Do Succeed). Rounding things off is Dazed 100 activist The Slumflower, aka Chidera Eggerue.

The brand’s name, which literally means ‘play together’, stands for the team’s collaborative effort to give a voice to today’s youth. To realise the collection, the six masterminds behind it were inspired by ideas of unity, inclusivity, and experimentation. Together with the affordable line, Collusion will launch a campaign aimed at portraying the individuality of Britain’s youth, asking 100 of the UK’s 18-year-olds “What do you wish for, in the year you come of age?”

Having been in the works for the past year, the unisex, animal-free and sustainable label will present 200 affordable styles next month.
