The watch features a minimalistic white wrist band that is adorned with an abstract, geometric, Japanese anime inspired watch face. Featuring custom drawings including a robot with flexed muscles on the band, the symbolism is palpable, representing G-Shock’s hardy durability, enduring appeal and technological prescience. Here, Jaiden rVa James designers Jaiden & Rasharn talk to Dazed about the exciting collaboration, buff robots and their ballooning collection of G-Shock watches…Dazed Digital: How did you come up with those awesome illustrations for G-Shock?Jaiden & Rasharn : We were given a brief to incorporate what G-shock stands for strength and technology so we worked with the young and talented illustrator Daniel Cashman.DD: What's the idea behind the buff 'radiohead'?J & R: The buffness was our interpretation of strength, the radio head was to signify technology.DD: Did you ever wear G-Shock watches (we had a craze at school where everyone wanted one...)?J & R: We both loved G-Shocks for a long time and each have a diverse selection of sizes and an array of colours, everyone loved both Baby G's and the Casio G-Shock whilst growing up and it was the coolest thing to be seen with one. It was great working with a brand with such passion and love for what they do, that was one of our main connections. DD: What is going on in the JaidenrVaJames universeJ & R: Waiting patiently to know what we will be doing not only next season, the economic crisis has also had an impact on us and in order to grow we need sponsorship. We do understand MAN can only support 3 designers at once so we will wait patiently for our turn. In the mean time we are concentrating on other ways to express and out let our creativity such as Rasharn is now styling and Jaiden is focusing on writing and fashion journalism whilst we are both taking up various other projects.
