However, Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine has chosen to give mad props to the British high street by asking Topshop to create three unique stage costumes for her. Topshop have pulled out all the dramatic stops on the pieces to ensure Florence makes an impact. On the first piece black floor-length fringing adorns the arms along with black and gold giant roses. A black tulle cape has been fitted to the arms and features sculpted detailing on the shoulders. The hand painted roses feature again in a crown and neckpiece, paired with a black antique lace cape. A specially fitted bodice is worn throughout with all three pieces as well as a pair of super high caged shoes that have roses and bows embellishing the ankle. The outfits will make their stage debut on Friday June 26 when Florence and the Machine support Blur in Manchester and on Saturday June 27 when they take to the John Peel stage at Glastonbury.
