Thome Browne is no stranger to models filing out in uniform formation after his 50s' lineup of office workers all suited and booted sitting at desks, typing en masse for his performance piece at Pitti Uomo last season. For Moncler Gamme Bleu's second showing, where Browne is creative director, he sent 57 towelled robed figures out in Luigi Secchi's Piscina Cozzi in Milan, which started a sync swim extravaganza. Whilst the true athletes swam their way through the show, models de-robed and walked alongside the pool, to showcase a collection that referenced summer sports all tinged with a nostalgic vision of Americana. Browne's own renowned tailoring sensibilities were at play and once again, he has played with the codes of sportswear to instill a signature into the two season-old Moncler Gamme Bleu high fashion range.
