Now, Dazed isn't really in the business of talking up Star Wars freaks. But then our friends over at Jeremyville, the madcap Sydney based design agency, made us giggle at their hilarious twist on Darth's inimitable style, replacing Vader's cold black steel helmet with a rave friendly graffiti neon version. Expect to see a Klaxon sporting one of these bad boys in the not too distant future…

D&C: How long did "Voices in my Head" take to complete?

Jeremy: The helmet design took about 6 hours. That evening we had to drop it off to the Fedex depot at Sydney airport to make the last flight in time for the show in LA. I packed it at the depot and it freaked the Fedex dudes out, I think they'd just had a smoke, they were trying it on and stuff...

D&C: Darth Vader is the ultimate style icon. Discuss.

Jeremy: My first thoughts for the customisation were to put either Mickey Mouse ears on the helmet, or a silver Warhol wig, as Mickey, Andy and Vader are such strong icons of our age, and mashing them up. That would have been awesome.  Who's the ultimate? Let's get 'em jelly wrestling and battle it out.

D&C: Where does this fit into the grand scheme of Jeremyville?

Jeremy: I get asked to do lots of customs, from 60 inch Qees, Converse shoes, skate decks, electric guitars, Harleys, Mercedes Benz cars. I've painted a lot of stuff. I'm waiting for my first Jet Plane custom, that would rock.

D&C: Excuse the pun, but where can people see your helmet?

Jeremy: It was in the Star Wars LA show which attracted about 20 thousand people, and will soon be in a London show, then tour the rest of THE EMPIRE. It'll be up for auction after that. Chewie's people have shown interest.
