Because that Marc Jacobs collection was just made for Beetlejuice’s Lydia Deetz
Well, the fashion season is (finally) over. We’ve seen a stadium-sized Kanye West extravaganza, McQueen’s romantic return to London, and even Chanel making everyone – that’s 2,400 people – front row, VIP guests. Now the storm has passed, it’s time to press pause and revisit the moments, collections and beauty looks that defined the last month. How better to do so than through the lens of film – where a fair few collections this season had us thinking of some of our favourite cult characters. There was Jeremy Scott’s sugar-coated, cartoon inspired clothes – the kind of thing you could expect to see in the wardrobe of Clueless’s Cher Horowitz, and Demna Gvasalia’s Balenciaga debut – whose colourful lurex and secretary shades had something distinctly Working Girl about them. Click through the gallery above for six of our favourite looks, reimagined on our screen favourites by Instagram artists Fantasy Dress Up.
