Kate Moss isn't the only supermodel looking to expand her design portfolio – Naomi Campbell has just revealed that she's in talks to launch her own fashion line.
"I’ve been approached by a few brands to design a line for them, it’s something that interests me and I’m in negotiations," she told MailOnline. "So I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I have an announcement to make... Watch this space!"
The 44-year-old model hasn't yet indicated whether her line would be a luxury proposition or a high-street collaboration à la the Kate Moss for Topshop collection. Either way, she'll have plenty of mentors or potential design partners to call on, since she counts designers like Azzedine Alaïa and Roberto Cavalli among her close friends.
Campbell has been dropping hints of her design intentions since the Vogue Festival in March. "Now I've grown up a bit more... I will design not just for women of colour, but for all," she said during a talk with Vogue Italia editorial director Franca Sozzani.
"I see there’s lots of things that are not there that I feel that I’d like to have, and so I’d like to share it with everybody."
What would a Naomi Campbell collection look like? Hopefully she'll resurrect this classic beachside look:
