The project will follow the order of fashion weeks, and has kicked off in New York at the Broadway store, styled by W magazine’s Alex White. London is next on the line-up, with Love’s Katie Grand set to transform the windows at the Old Bond Street store before Oliveir Rizzo who works independently with V, Another, Arena Homme Plus and Love casts his spell over Milan’s Via Monte Napoleone store. Finally, the inimitable Carine Roitfeld of French Vogue will reinvent the Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris.White’s makeover of the New York store has set a high standard for what is to follow. With Mickey Mouse ears lending the windows a cartoon feel, leopard print tights and deep red lighting give what would otherwise have been a sugary sweet interior a hard but sexy rock-n-roll edge. Piles of shoes come to life as spider like creatures that seem liable to crawl forth from the displays at any moment, while animal print clad mannequins snake teasingly up the stores expansive stairs. With a keen eye for tantalising glamour and elegance, White has given the New York store an injection of fervent youth and sexually charged energy. Escape the algorithm!
