An eclectic mix of skiing paraphernalia, dinosaur bones and glitter beards at Bernhard Willhelm’s A/W 09 installation during Berlin Fashion Week took on Olympic proportions. Channelling the snowy environment of Innsbruck 1976, Willhelm created a veritable winter wonderland in the old Berlin Postbahnhof. Surrounded by a makeshift mountain of wood and other constructed items, models appeared in Willhelm’s ostentatiously colourful designs, and of course, skis and goggles, the latter of which were designed in collaboration with MYKITA Berlin.
