The austere, pin sharp tailoring that opened the show echoed the season’s mood for sobriety in times of financial meltdown, but soon the suits became two tone and cutout parts made of neoprene were added, lending a superhuman dimension to proceedings. Simons also bucked the trend of sombre colours by injecting neon pink, aqua blue into his palette.
