MARGIELA1

Throughout the Autumn/Winter womenswear fashion weeks, the Dazed fashion team summarise their highlights of New York, London, Milan and Paris. Here fashion editor Emma Wyman shares her Paris highlights.

FAVOURITE LOOKS OF PARIS AW13:

I loved the needlepoint couture embroidery at Margiela, such beautiful layering; it almost looked like the needle point was floating on top of classic tailored white shirts (above).

Valentino was very beautiful, I especially liked the minimal Wednesday Adams look. I love how the minimal panelled collar/shoulder detail transformed the silhouette of the dress.

Céline was amazing as always, this collection was particularly strong. Phoebe Philo's interpretation of the laundry bag was really interesting, as were the restraining layered across the shoulder pieces.

FAVOURITE ACCESSORY:
Alexander McQueen orb masks.

FAVOURITE SHOE:
The Dior satin over the knee embroidered boots. I love the quality of the embroidery, you can really see the artists' hand within the design.

FAVOURITE MODELS:
Juliana Schurig and Ashleigh Good.

FAVOURITE VENUE:
Plais d'Iéna for Miu Miu, I love how they transform the space each season.

FAVOURITE SOUNDTRACK:
Miu Miu, which featured Eurythmics' 'This City Never Sleeps'.

BEST CATERING/DRINKS:
The amazing Japanese food at the Miharayasuhiro pop-up shop/presentation.

BEST GOODIE BAG/FREEBIE:
Longchamp travel kit! So handy! A see-through toiletry bag, perfect for going through security.
