Ann Demeulemeester's well-lit white backdrop showed the designer at her most graphic – and preempted the snow that would arrive in the evening, covering Paris' pavements in a crisp, frozen carpet. Though even Demeulemeester, synonymous with the poetry of mood is unable to call in favours with meteorology.
Justly, it was her flowing white looks today that made their mark – maxi roll neck sweaters, shin-grazing shirts that dissolved away with movement. Call it bleached ecclesiastical. There was inspired styling with the hats she showed too, with delicate veils shadowing the face and aviator cap skirting.
