The power suit softened with mohair and velvet, as Armani follows his own code

Mr Giorgio Armani's legacy is the power suit and cleaning up the lines of tailoring – it very nearly wasn't of course, having trained in medicine.

After five decades of his brand, Armani is as passionate about his vision as day one, presenting a strong and precise image, with "clean and essential styling that portrays a virile man," for AW13.

Refining his belief system, neoprene is paired with velvet and suede this time, with cashmere and mohair woven together to create lightweight knitwear.

If you've been anywhere near a TV (or cinema screen) over the past year or so, you'll be familiar with the fragrance ad that asks, "do you have the Armani code?" As ever, this collection did.
