Emma Wyman talks day three... Dazed Digital: What did you experience today?Emma Wyman: Christopher Kane was amazing. The run of show was kind of grouped by colour and texture, the first set of looks were all white; against the holographic backdrop and runway this made for a very intense visual moment. The textiles alone were amazing, I can't even believe the amount of development that must have gone into each garment! The frankenstein print tee shirts were also fun! Richard Nicoll was also lovely, his use of colour is always interesting. I especially liked the parachute-esque dresses and use of tech-y fabrics. The show also had a really fun soundtrack, lots of hip hop. Craig Lawrence was another highlight – the knits were all made from beautiful silver yarns and fibre optics. Each look was beautifully put together, and the finale was incredible, all of the fibre optic garments lit up as soon as the runway lights went off and the flashes from the cameras and strobe lights hit them. I didn't realise what was going on until I took a picture on my phone which showed the glowing garments... a really amazing optical illusion!DD: Favourite off-catwalk moment?Emma Wyman: I don't know if this counts as off catwalk, but whilst sat waiting for Richard Nicoll to start, all of the sudden Zen, the model who opened the show, sprinted barefoot from the backstage area to an unknown location, and then 5 minutes later reappeared and ran back to the backstage area. It kind of looked like she was wearing a Richard Nicoll dress so we were all very confused...DD: What are you looking forward to next?Emma Wyman: I'm looking forward to a few days of relaxation, I still haven't unpacked from New York! Also looking forward to Thomas Tait and Simone Rocha. I hear Thomas Tait's show is at the skate park on the South Bank... that is quite exciting. Escape the algorithm!
