Last night celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the store's inception, its rise to international acclaim as meteoric and awe inspiring as the party itself, with a list of hosts to match, including (deep breath): Delfina Delettrez, Kirsten Dunst, Dakota Fanning, Leo Fitzpatrick, Nicola Formichetti, Kim Gordon, Spike Jonze, Ryan McGinley, M.I.A, Jeremy Scott, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, Terry Richardson, Alexander Wang and Melanie Ward.Held in the East Village's massive Webster Hall, the event was a multi level mash-up throwdown, with three floors and five rooms of rotating parties from the last 10 years of New York. This included Sway, a performance by the MisShapes, Clubber Down Disco, Ghe2o Goth1k, Club Luxx and 1992, commanding the main stage for an hour in between spinning sets in their individual stations throughout the Hall. At the apex of the evening was a special performance by Lil Kim, bursting onto the stage amid waving flags, musclebound dancers and the radiating ecstasy from an overjoyed crowd. There could not have been a more fitting or exuberant birthday celebration.Photography Lahaina Alcantara Escape the algorithm!
