London costumier Angels has been supplying fashion houses with inspiration from their 5 million-piece collection for years. With the recent acquisition of the BBC Resources Costumes, there is now the need to clear the Angels warehouse due to duplication. Therefore on 6th December at the Angels Wembley warehouse, there will be a one-of-a-kind sale, the first time Angels has ever sold anything to the public in its 160-year history. Everyone and anyone can go and fill a medium sized bag (£10) or a supersize bag (£20) to their hearts content, purchasing as many bags as they want. With 30,000 items of vintage clothing, accessories and jewellery spanning from the 1930s to the present day, there will be much to choose from. Tim Angel, from the fifth generation of the Angels family says ““This is a fantastic opportunity for people to lay their hands on clothes that have appeared in some famous productions over the years; get a genuine vintage fashion look; create their own clothes from original fabrics; or just replenish their wardrobes at a truly credit-crunch price!”
