Double denim and the illusion of floral from designer Italo Zucchelli

Presented at Calvin Klein's Milan headquarters, Italo Zucchelli's Calvin Klein Collection is always a highlight for its fabric innovations and urge to push menswear forward, in sync with technology. This season, Dazed's Elizabeth Fraser-Bell found surprise allure in a total jeans look...

"Calvin Klein Collection began with The Beach Boys' 'Good Vibrations' on the soundtrack and the mood quickly caught on, sweeping through the audience. It's always good when you can sing along to the soundtrack! I loved the double denim, which I think is clever to play with at Calvin Klein, a brand that made notorious the designer jean. To play with that idea and distill into the premium catwalk collection is clever and also displays a great sense of humour. There were high-cut bomber jackets too and a succession of almost-floral prints – Zucchelli is never literal. But I keep going back to that double denim."
