Sequinned, sultry soldiers wore army inspired creations today. Walking down the catwalk to sounds you might hear at boot camp, ‘Ashish’s Army’ looked stunning and stylish. Opening the show was a floor length sequinned, camouflage ball gown, followed by tight t-shirts underneath lace harnesses, provocatively outlining the breasts. Then tracksuit bottoms with beaded fringing and khaki army coats covered in embroidered battalion badgescame down as well as a super sexy redhead in a black sequinned mini dress.
Endless looks perfectly juxtaposing casual pieces with eye catching, sparkly numbers kept sashaying down the catwalk. Highlights included checked shorts that upon closer inspection were covered in sequins, frayed denim with chiffon tops and a full length beaded tassle dress styled with a denim punky waistcoat. It is obvious that Ashish can successfully cover both the casual and dress-to-kill markets with ease – my two favourite pieces were his signature, flowing sequinned backless ballgowns and a paratrooper jumpsuit covered in badge pins. Wearing these pieces you will definitely get noticed and for all the right reasons!
