Todd Lynn’s latest collection was a statement on shape for Spring Summer 2009. There was a gothic vibe that is always part of Todd Lynn’s vocabulary, but this season it seemed more relaxed. He used innovation in cut to trick the eye. Pieces were never what they seemed as jackets turned into trousers, and tops morphed into skirts. The colour palette was dominated by light greys and blacks, with an infusion of raspberry and pink.

His menswear was also kept simple and clean with the use of leather to make it more youthful. The Todd Lynn woman will be wearing fitted suits and leather next summer but in a relaxed way that doesn’t look contrived.
