The first day of London fashion week saw a return to 80s with stonewashed, pastel coloured and indigo denim in abundance alongside cute, kitch prints and floppy bows tied in the hair a la Winona Ryder in Heathers. But my favourite touch of the quintessentially Topshop show were the accessories which took shape in gold shoe and bag charms, blue aviators, long, dangly earrlings and pendants. Later on in the day I headed over to Gareth Pugh’s house and caught the Moet convoy to the tents where Gareth designed the exclusive Moet room complete with sun bed lamps- it was boiling! Definitely a little preview to what Simon Costin, the renowned set designer is creating for Gareth’s eagerly anticipated Paris show.
