Early on Saturday morning it was all about Maison Martin Margiela and their Spring Summer show in a disused cinema venue close to Sacré-Coeur. Opening up with a well-made and detailed film, the  design collective went through went through all the outfits and showed the aesthetic beauty and quirky details of the clothes. Once the clip was over the models entered the stage and proceeded to walk through each and every aisle, showing a stellar MMM collection.

Initially focused on monochrome shades, we saw paisley shirts in black and white, stripey shirts that were matched with trousers in the same stripe. The collection continued with light shades of green and blue on sheer knits that showed tops and shirts underneath. A spot of colour appeared in an electric blue suit, only matched by a red nylon poncho. The White Stripes potpourri was perfectly matched in excitement by the MMM clothes: it was a good start to the day.
