Colours were strong, with blues, oranges, salmon pink and dull metallics being used in a number of ways. Nylon blousons were layered up with hooded windcheaters, giving a technical touch. The layering occurred throughout a number of looks, namely in a transparent PVC overall worn over double layered grey marl sportswear. The outdoor mood was again played out through the use of an updated cycling shirt, which came up in white and bright orange and softer yellows. Hooded parka's also appeared, in simple cotton versions. More formal wear came through in the English public school aesthetic. Three piece suits, double breasted blazers in softer pastels and open collar striped Oxford shirts all added together, giving a slightly adolescent tone. D-link belts made up from school ties and striped woollen beanie caps also highlighted this reference. Accessories were also a strong part of the performance wear story. Buckle and clip belts, belt bags and carabena's all pushed this, along with the clip front gladiator style sandals. Escape the algorithm!
