The highlights of Monday’s shows for me were; young designer Telfar’s Herve Leger esque crop top and revealing swimming costume for boys, Proenza Schouler’s chic 80s backless jumpsuits and Marc Jacob’s utterly indulgent casting at what was my favourite show of NY fashion week.

At Marc every major girl in New York wore only one look each so with a dazzling total of 53 looks it was every bit the American dream. Skyscaper heels mimicked the feeling of American industrial success of the late 20s/early 30s and the collection was a fusion of multi-coloured, ideas, ethnicities and eras in this breathtaking show. It was glitz, glamour, and layering of textures, patterns and silhouettes in a chic mash up of what fashion should be. I think my favourite detail was Natasha Poly’s pink satin espadrille boots. Although she was a little shaky on her killer stilettos, I also loved new face Pernille Moeller (who we shot for our September cover). She looked amazing on the runway for Marc Jacobs and I think she will have a great season.
