From the creme cassis pipettes in glasses of prosecco to the wooden swings outside, the whole Chin Chin experience was steeped in playfulness and it was an unforgettable night. We loved the white lab coats worn by staff, there was definitely something a little bit Mike TV (Charlie & the Chocolate Factory) about the aesthetic, and a sense of anticipation as we saw servers don their safety goggles. Hearing that liquid nitrogen was involved, suddenly the whole bar started to fog with liquid, steaming ice. It was like Top of the Pops Two with, thankfully, no Cliff Richard. Freezing all the elements that make up ice cream in a metal bowl and taking what seemed like 50 seconds, cups of delicious ice cream made their way to everyone. Dishlicous.
