The classic documentary gets screened to a modern soundtrack at The Union Chapel

Tomorrow night, British Sea Power perform an alternative soundtrack to the seminal and haunting 1930s documentary Man Of Aran. Not only is this a rare screening of one of the most influential documentaries ever made, but it is also a chance to witness one of Britain's best-loved guitar bands at their most creative. Robert J Flaherty's classic film captures the vanishing way of life of the isolated Aran Islanders, who battle to hold on to a simple if hard-bitten existence that is soon to be swept away by the modern world.
