One to watch: The inimitable Tom Lovelace returns with a solo show at Surface Gallery in Nottingham following his prize winning success at last year's Open Show 2008. The show runs from the 3rd - 16th July and is a further investigation of Britain's industrial landscapes which Lovelace uses as his plaything. He crafts, installs and excavates to create ephemeral objects and environments that exist solely for the camera. Each scene is constructed to life size, presenting disconcerting scenarios that lie in the cusp between reality and fiction. Truly mesmerising. www.surfacegallery.org
