Elliot Atkinson A/W12

During London Fashion Week, Elliot Atkinson has presented his A/W12 collection in an intimate event with Fashion Fringe, hosted by legendary fashion writer Colin Mcdowell. Nested in the elegant atmosphere of the new Writer's Penthouse at the Corinthia Hotel, the collection showcased quilted plissé, armoir-like techno materials, silk satins, crepes, leathers, wools, tweeds and cottons infused by medieval Britain in a celebration of the dark, decadent and real woman that informs the brand's aesthetics. Silver hardware embellishments punctuated the otherwise classical pieces, while peasant-influenced aran knits and heavy masculine coats clashed with feminine dresses inspired by medieval battle flag-bearers, building up a collection that explores the dualities of quiet confidence and tough romanticism.
