The result of three months work and a judging panel made up of Isobel Harbison, Dazed’s Francesca Gavin, Sadie Coles, Tom Morton, Tim Marlow and Mark Titcher, the shortlisted artists were Laura Buckley, Steve Bishop, Jess Flood-Paddock, Francesca Anfossi and overall winner Peter Ainsworth. Working across a variety of mediums, the exhibition was carefully organised by the fantastic Freire Barnes!On a balmy Thursday evening guests of the artists, judges, gallery, Dazed and Converse celebrated with delicious Havana Club cocktails and nibbles from Wagamama in West London’s Old Burlington Street. With guests including Tim Blanks, Julie Verhoeven, Jefferson Hack and judges Isobel Harbison, Mark Titcher, and Tom Morton, the party continued down to Momo on Heddon Street, with DJing from Dazed fave JoshYouAre!Big thanks to Stephen Friedman Gallery for all their efforts and to Havana Club and Wagamama for the food and cocktails!Converse/Dazed 2010 Emerging Artists Award will be on show at Stephen Friedman Gallery from now until August 21st.
