The festival’s impressive program included a dinner in honour of Zaha Hadid, a Q & A between Franca Sozzani and Sir VS Naipaul, an hour with Gore Vidal, a discussion between Daphne Guinness and Philip Treacy, a media panel talk with Jefferson Hack, a discussion with Hanif Kureishi and a talk with Stephen Frears. Other guests included Gareth Pugh, Lily Cole, Kim Jones, The Misshapes and Waris Ahluwalia. On the Saturday night festival collaborators AnOther Magazine held a dinner at the beautiful Topkapi Palace followed by an after party at former electrical warehouse Otto Santral.Mute and dressed entirely in white, Terence arrived complete with a small white notepad and pencil. Art is life in Terence’s world. He had already told me over email that he had taken a vow of silence and that this white accessory would be his sole means of communication during the trip. Here Terence shares with us a few pages from his time in Istanbul with Dazed Digital. For a full round up of the Istancool festival please visit AnotherMag.com Escape the algorithm!
