Bringing their unique vision to the UK and featuring long time collaborator, Bast, both galleries Lazarides Greek St and Lazarides Rathbone will be taken over from 12th February - 20th March 2010.Faile’s much-respected work inspired by Cy Twombly, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein, Basquiat and the throwaway imagery of advertising, flyposting, comic books and TV led to his commissioned work at the Tate Modern’s iconic river façade for the massively popular ‘Street Art’ exhibition in 2008. Whilst Bast has remained a rather elusive figure internationally in street art for almost ten years, and more recently exhibited in the group exhibitions Graffiti at Galerie du Jour - Agnes B, Paris (2009), Beach Blanket Bingo at Jonathan LeVine Gallery, New York (2009) and This is China at BLVD Gallery, Seattle (2008).The private view of the Faile Bast Deluxx Fluxx Arcade takes place on Thursday 11th February from 6-10pm, and will be open from 12th February until 20th March 2010.
