Gagosian Gallery Opens Store

Published 21 months ago

The first retail outlet of New York's Gagosian Gallery is the latest extension of art dealer Larry Gagosian’s ventures

On September 18 the Gagosian Gallery's uber-cool debut store on Madison Avenue opened its doors, revealing a 2,500 sq/ft split-level space that features a reading lounge, a video art projection wall, and a selection of art and design merchandise that includes books, furniture, special-edition posters, prints and wallpaper, not to mention exclusive pieces from the gallery. As part of the venue, Damien Hirst’s Other Criteria showcased its first and only location in the United States on the lower level, with eclectic pieces by Richard Prince, Marc Newson, Jeff Koons and Jean Prouve providing an unusual, and incredibly expensive blend of contemporary art and design merchandise.

Gagosian, 988 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10075
