Unwearable jewels, an indulgent offering of what art might look like if it were made of rather expensive rocks.   The exhibition is the work of established jewellery designer, Solange Azagury-Partridge and features a series of decorative objects for the home.  The crowning glory is a chandelier, made from 200 carats of diamond-encrusted chain mail, looped into an intricate earring-like structure.   More successful pieces on display seek direct reference from the wearable rings in the cosmos collection, which carries an Egyptian feel in heavy gold accents.  These take the form of textured wall plaques, table motifs and handmade wool rugs.  Table furniture is an interesting jumble of materials and design features, legs mounted by claws grappling bronze balls, adorned in a single ring and hidden by blackened brass chains, the top finished with multicoloured inlaid stone.  The gratifying collection of wall plaques are all loosely linked around the star system - you can get your star sign in precious stones for a hefty cheque.

Exhibiton runs from March 06 to April 23 at Sebatian + Barquet, London
