In this extract from Concrete Clouds, award-winning filmmaker and editor Lee Chatametikool's transcendentally sweet indie romance, a Thai expat returns home for his father's funeral and decides to track down an old high school girlfriend. Drifting between past and present, the pair seek to escape the reality of Thailand's impending economic crisis through pop songs, MTV montages of true love and on-air radio dedications. This Thai film takeover is curated by Cannes award-winning director Apichatpong Weerasethakul and his Southeast Asian cinema collective, Mosquito Film Distribution.
