Earlier this month, we launched Dazed Visionaries, our landmark new online series that leads the way in groundbreaking, original video content. Trailblazers like James Franco and animation studio Factory Fifteen have already stepped up to the plate to create new work for us, while Warp and Jeremy Deller are lined up for this week. Now it's time for you to get involved.
We're calling for all animators, designers and filmmakers to design a two second ident that will play before each video, and ends on the Dazed logo. What happens is up to you. We want this series of stings to become a growing, evolving art project in its own right, so the more out there, the better – this is a completely blank canvas.
If picked, your sting will join our stable of identmakers, which includes Kenzo artist Natalia Stuyk, Nike illustrators and MCM designers Craig & Karl, and Bubblebyte co-founder Rhys Coren, Das Racist collaborator Justin Hantz, as well as filmmakers and video artists like Chris Dorland, Nic Hamilton, Daniel Swan, Amy Gwatkin and Rory Cahill.
There are only two rules:
– The sting must be exactly two seconds long.
– It must resolve in the Dazed logo, at the size/proportion shown in the template. The logo does not have to be a graphic (but it can be) – it could be made from anything.
Film should be 1080p, H264, 5000kbs and 256 kbps audio (preferably AAC or WAV). Send in your entries to email@example.com. Please submit all entries by 31 December 2013.
