Curated by Studio Blanco, the project will never manifest itself as a physical exhibition due to budget constraints, which conveniently enforces the subject at hand. This "non exhibition" made its way to Dazed Digital in a neat grey cardboard box, inside which submissions from 36 artists can be found in the form of printed photographs, images of artworks, texts as well as a CD of audio interpretations of the word recession. Studio Blanco has gathered up an impressive list of artists, who all collectively present a variety of submissions, a selection of which we have scanned here. Full artist list: Aaron Rose, Alessandro Zuek Simonetti, Alexis Zavialoff, Ari Marcopoulos, Boduf Songs, Camille Vivier, Carlotta Manaigo, Christophe Brunnquell, Dylan Martorell, Dustin O'Halloran, Dirty Sound System, Ed Templeton, Erica Eyres, Estelle Hanania, Goldmund, Henry Roy, Item Idem, Jason Evans, Jukka Reverberi, Julia Kent, Lina Scheynius, Linus Bill, Lizzi Bougatsos, Lukas Wassmann, Mark Borthwick, Maxime Buechi, Melanie Bonajo, Nicholas Haggard, Paul Boudens, Peter Broderick, Peter Sutherland, Richard Kern, Rita Ackermann, Ronin, Sylvain Chauveau, Tim Hecker. The second is by the photogrpaher Mark Borthwick, where he musically interprets one of his alter egos Will Shine. Escape the algorithm!
