Nathan Jenden's latest collection for his signature label was a take on 80s' power suiting, albeit with a frivolous overtone. Nearly every bold colour in the rainbow was used to reinforce his point that colour was back for spring summer 2009. He opened the show with Thierry Mugler-esqe dress in orange to foreshadow the theme of the collection. Pencil skirts and cropped suit jackets in delightfully lurid prints, ruffled dresses, and wide legged trousers made a statement about shape for the upcoming season.

Keeping it simple was not in Jenden's vocabulary for next season and his woman will not be a timid one. He has kept true to his ideals and pulled together a collection that will appeal to anyone who wants a colour-saturated variation on the classic shapes he used.
