Finding my seat along a long, winding fully packed catwalk I quickly sit down minuites before the show.As the music began models appeared exploring the catwalk at a very slow pace, which gave the eagerly awaiting crowd time to really admire each look and notice every detail. When chatting to Roksanda after the show she described her collection as "all the things I like mixed together" and she drew references from the 1930s', Romanticism and a love for wanting to create night gown style dresses that could be elegantly worn out in the evening, a continuation from previous collections. This is exactly what we saw as the collection started with long pastel dresses, capes and high waited troussers, all in luxurious soft silks. Detailing was elevated with Swarovski decorated seams and bulbous flower heads, wrapped in netting, which were sewn onto hems and shoulders. As the show went on Roksanda, true to her style, turned up the couture volume with lavish expansive netting dresses and stunning jellyfish- esque designs that caught the light in all the right places.
