It’s a smuttiness that is quite latent seeing as Dan Single and his team have been inspired by a diverse array of things that together make for an eclectic more complex collection than we have previously seen from Ksubi. Their study of Moroccan Berber men results in swathes of mis-matched fabric. Laser cut laces, corsets and shorter-than-short skintight dresses materialised from looking at 19th century French cabaret dancers from the infamous Crazy Horse club in Paris. The Western Frontier inspires the leather detailing and handcrafted embellishment and in menswear, Americana prevails with bootlegs, and waistcoats. The colours for both menswear and womenswear are the sepia-tainted colours of the Wild West that are both subdued and vivid; blood, dust, concrete, mustard and lapis. To top it all of, psychedelic paint and bleach splatter finishes are added to their denim pieces just to throw a different slant to the mix of influences going on. Escape the algorithm!
