This fascination with the rock 'n' roll lifestyle has seen Zadig & Voltaire focus their advertising campaigns on musical duos, be it Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl, or Mark Ronson and Josephine de la Baume. Now, again working with Purple magazine head honcho and photographer Olivier Zahm, the brand has turned their attention to true rock royalty; Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince aka The Kills.Even though The Kills has been releasing albums since 2003, it's in the last few years that the band has achieved widespread attention. Partly that's due to Mosshart's collaboration with Jack White's Dead Weather project and Hince's relationship with Kate Moss. But love and secondary bands aside, The Kills possess the attitude and beauty that Zadig & Voltaire requires. Mosshart is described as "a pretty and cheeky brunette" while Hince is seen as "a nonchalant and charismatic dandy". Shot by Zahm in the Parisian gardens of Parc Monceau, Hince is wearing black blazers and skinny fit jeans, while Mosshart is kitted out in military and officer-style jackets, perfectly combining the rebellious, melancholic and playful aspects of both The Kills and Zadig & Voltaire.
