Having dressed the rock ‘n’ roll elite, Manchester-born, Milan-based designer, John Richmond was in his element when designing ‘Apocolytic Rock Chic’. Serpent-print, crotch-skimming dresses exposed stocking clasps, and were paired with stiletto heels and thigh high boots in gold or black. White tailcoats worn topless with shredded skinny jeans mixed biker-mode with crisp tailoring and combined a masculine style with a feminine silhouette. Mammoth-sized fur coats and Jerry Hall hair embodied the glamour of traditional rock ‘n’ roll whilst cropped bombers in fur trimmed leather or parka-style echoed the contemporary style of the Northern rock stars of today.
