With the launch of his first resort collection, the bunny is now hopping around happily as giant appliques on crepe de chine vests, as a print on silk scarves and on canvas ballet pumps with contrasting coloured bow detail. Best of all are the bunny ear sunglasses that were created in collaboration with Tatty Devine though Jensen warns they are just for styling purposes as opposed to practical wear and that a real sunglasses line is on its way. Taking the word 'resort' literally, Jensen has also introduced swimwear with a the bunny logo enlarged on a bathing suit that evokes a more covered up era of beach attire. For the presentation and lookbook shoot, Jensen once again worked with illustrator Charlotte Mann who created that 30 meter long set for his S/S 07 show. "The basis of this collection was that picture of the triplets by Diane Arbus as well as the rabbit and so the photograph is drawn into the set that Charlotte did," explains Jensen. So an illustrated recreation of 'Triplets in their bedroom N.J. 1963' forms the backdrop for the lookbook of this resort collection and sat perfectly in the front room of House of St. Barnabus in Soho where the Peter Jensen bunny was properly showcase.
