Each new location will feature an original interior concept by the ksubi collective. The first one in Melbourne entitled "Lest We Regret" features 120 glass jars suspended from the ceiling containing shredded files from the Australian Bureau of statistics. ksubi thus sticks two fingers up at the current economic climate and attempts to distract people with this impermanent space filled with one-off and exclusive piece as well as all the latest ksubi collections. Located at the Schwipe gallery in Melbourne, ksubi will take over the space for 12 weeks as Dan Single of ksubi says "We are easily bored, here at ksubi.... It's exciting building them, and before you can get sick of it...pfffft! It's gone!"As for when the London store that is due to land in March, Single says "We will most likely work with a retail partner when we ‘pop-up’ in London in 2009. We are still working on the details as the store itself is yet to be conceptualised – maybe something to do with music? Watch this space!’’ksubi's other project of impermanence sees the opening of an exhibition dedicated to The Cobrasnake aka Mark Hunter who has been snapping young fillies in London, Paris, LA, NYC, Tokyo and Sydney over the last four years and putting them up on his blog. The exhibition "Too Young" is showing at ksubi's Bondi Beach store in Sydney and in Melbourne's Arnadale store on November 26th and 28th respectively. Escape the algorithm!
