colette is consistently packed with fashion folk during Paris fashion week but on Friday afternoon, there was a chance to take a breather down at their Water Bar instead of shuffling through the store in a painfully slow way (made slower by the fact that Karl Lagerfeld popped in for a shopping trip that very afternoon). A number of Brits headed downstairs for some afternoon tea hosted by Pablo Flack of Bistrotheque and the illustrator Will Broome to celebrate the launch of "Josiah Cream Tea" at Flash, the new temporary resturant at the Royal Academy of Arts, a concept of Bistrotheque. Will Broome got together with Wedgewood to create an special set of china adorned with Broome's recognisable illustrations which is being used at Flash, and was also used to serve us our mint and lemon tea and mini scones. The tea service is named thus as 2009 sees Wedgewood celebrating its 250th anniversary and it seemed apt to name the tea after Josiah Wedgewood. At colette, Charlie Porter, Gareth Pugh, Danielle Scutt and Lulu Kennedy all seemed happy to have a hot beverage in amidst the fashion frenzy and everyone went home with a tea towel with Will Broome's illustration printed on it.

Josiah Cream Tea at Flash opens on 1st November 2008 and Will Broome's Wedgewood collaboration will also be available to buy from the GSKContemporary shop from the same day onwards.
